At the beginning of the year, the Integrated Digital Map of Prague (IDMP) data were migrated to a new data model and the updating of Digital Map of Prague (DMP) data began. The management system to update and maintain the data was put into operation too. The ORACLE relation database is currently used as the data storage and the geometry is stored in SDO_GEOMETRY. The
data issuance of the Digital Map of Prague started. on Monday, July 28, 2008. One of the biggest differences from the IDMP consists in the content separation of the cadastral map from the technical map. The entire system enables the user to solve the complex management of the following data:
- DMP data
- Cadastral map (CM)
- Digital cadastral map (DCM) delivered in vector form by CUZK (Czech Office for Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre)
- Digital image of the cadastral map (DICM) maintained within the framework of the DMP project
- Digital technical map (DTM)
- Special purpose map of the surface situation (SPMSS)
- Utility networks (UN)
- Administrative structure
The delivery also includes SW to support the data issuance from the URM data storage from which, in addition to the Digital Map of Prague itself, additional thematic sets can be issued, for instance:
- Land use plan
- Aerial photographs
- 3D image of an area
The whole system is based on the ESRI platform with the option to export to other commonly used formats such as dxf, dgn, vtx. The complete visualization of the DMP data on individual platforms has been prepared as well.
More information on the DMP can be found here.
