The main race of the 41st Annual Jizerska 50 was run on Sunday (January 13, 2008). This most attended race in our country (about 3000 competitors participated) was under the control of the Scandinavians this year. Nine of them placed in the first ten and, in the end, the winner was Anders Aukland of Norway who had a bit more energy close to the finish line than Oskar Svärd of Sweden. Six Swedes placed in the top-ten group and this fact proves the qualities of the runners of this Nordic country.
To make things more interesting, the Swedish runners of T-Kartor invited the T-Mapy team to a mini-duel. Our team was represented by the following athletes (their final placing is given in parenthesis):

After analyzing the final list of results, we can say that our team was in a better form and achieved not only better final aggregate time of 19.31.33 (compared to 19.54.16) but also better placing aggregate time: T-Mapy 6095 and T-Kartor 6435. We of course accept the excuse of our Swedish colleagues that they are tuning up their form for the home race in Vasalopped and we are determined to prove there our superiority in this sport as well.
