The web map services offer was expanded with the thematic mapping option for different land zones in the Czech Republic. The name of this PROFI service consists of “THMAP” + name of the land zone category (counties, regions, NUTS 2). The thematic map service will enable the users to create cartograms for given land zones; this can namely come useful in the geomarketing sphere (cartogram is a method that allows you to display statistical data via color fill codes of individual land zones – please, see the samples).

The division of data into intervals is on the customer’s side, as well as the selection of the color to be used to mark individual intervals. The customer can also create own description of the land zones, select the color and size of the font, and select the map size.

The data can be displayed either in the map of the entire Czech Republic or just in the land zone.
