| Some of you perhaps remember our original workplace, a small downtown villa, that provided us with family-like atmosphere. We moved in there 10 years ago, the company kept growing and, during the last two years, we have hired more employees mainly into our development department. In summer 2006, it was clear to us that the existing offices on Nezval Street won’t be sufficient to accommodate all the staff and we started looking for more office space. We were successful! The development department stayed on Nezval Street; the management, the administrative staff , and GIS department moved to newly leased offices in a classicistic building standing on Velke namesti (a large historic square in downtown Hradec).
Those of you interested in history might like to know that this building stands in place of former Hradec reeve’s wooden building that was torn down and in its place was built our area’s most luxurious coaching inn named At the Black Eagle’s. The Emperors of Austria
Franz Joseph I and Franz Joseph II, Leopold II, and the arch prince Franz of Tuscany were among those who enjoyed the inn’s hospitality. The building we know today was built by the architect Cenek Kricka in 1897-1898.
