CDS CZ s.r.o. in Trinec became our customer and utilizes our PROFI map services in a very interesting way. This softwarehouse develops and implements software to track vehicles and also outsources their work to customers.

The original version of the vehicle movement tracking product required the installation of a desktop application, incl. all the necessary maps, at the end customer’s place. One of the new version’s basic task was to utilize the web platform. The perfect solution to localize positions in maps came from the IFRMMap web service that offers on-line map service featuring simple and efficient integration of sufficiently detailed, quality maps of the entire Europe (down to the scale of 1:500 000) and of the Czech Republic (down to the town map level).

After two months of preparation work on the side of the customer, we arrived to a secured-access solution that enables monitoring the movement and positions of vehicles of the end users. The map section features many interesting tools. New features include showing and hiding of the quick overview map (there is a button to hide the overview map in the upper right corner of the map itself), bubble help that describes the object in the map, showing the current position of vehicles (on-line regime), and showing the vehicle travel path history in the map (off-line regime).

This type of cooperation can serve as an example to other owners of similar businesses that are interested in the full utilization of the Internet to implement their services.
